Aware International School System Hosts Agricultural Showcase.
Students from the Aware International School System, situated along the GSA Road in Paynesville, organized an engaging Science, Art, and Agricultural Exhibition on Friday, March 22. The event drew the participation of students, parents, teachers, and school administrators, showcasing their enthusiasm for learning and innovation.
Under the theme of ‘Agriculture for Self-Reliance,’ students from all grades displayed their agricultural prowess through a diverse array of vegetable products. From cabbage to peppers, the exhibition highlighted various cultivation techniques and agricultural practices aimed at promoting self-sufficiency and sustainable development.
The dedication and hard work demonstrated by the students underscored the immense potential for agricultural growth and success within the country. Assistant Ministers P. Fulton Blasin and Clifford Konah from the Ministries of Agriculture and Education, respectively, toured the exhibits, commending the students’ agricultural achievements.
Guest speaker Blasin, representing Agriculture Minister Dr. J. Alexander Nuetah, lauded the school administration for instilling a deep appreciation for agriculture among students and imparting valuable cultivation knowledge. He emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting farmers by removing barriers to investment and enhancing market access.
Blasin outlined plans to establish agriculture farms at public universities and community colleges, providing students with practical agricultural experience. Additionally, he pledged support for the establishment of agricultural clubs in schools nationwide, fostering further engagement and learning opportunities.
The exhibition garnered significant attention from parents and stakeholders, culminating in a resounding success.
